The name Chromasens is derived from chroma, meaning color and sens, which stands for sensor technology.
The today/present Chromasens GmbH is growing and constantly developing new market opportunities worldwide. Our technologies are employed in products and applications like book and documents scanners, sorting systems as well as inspection systems for quality control.
1974
Chromasens roots stem from the former CGK Computer Gesellschaft Konstanz GmbH, a Siemens subsidiary that focused on document capture systems and sorting systems.
1990
Entry into color technology. Through intensive research and development the scanner and sorting system „ScanStar“ und „TransStar“ were introduced into the market.
2000
Océ Group takeover of Computer Gesellschaft Konstanz GmbH, renaming it Océ Document Technologies GmbH.
2004
Management buyout of the scan technology division from Océ Dokument Technologies GmbH.
