Image capturing systems by Chromasens are used in many ways in print inspection. As early as during production a printed image control can test the quality in terms of e.g. completeness, position and colours and initiate actions as separating defective prints or readjusting machines.

The inline check with line scan cameras reduces the number of rejections in the production process considerably. Applications include all types of print processes (offset, gravure printing, flexo printing, digital printing etc.) as well as products such as sheets, stickers, brochures, colour wallpaper and other print materials.

The Chromasens multispectral camera system truePIXA combines a multichannel line-scan camera with a broad-band illuminant. truePIXA offers access to high resolution, full size inline measurement of colour on the whole printed area. The area od interest for colour measurement can be chosen arbitrarily and the measurement can be done on each single page. Simultaneous to the measurement a RGB image will be captured.

Besides offline colour measurements, the compact desgin of the system makes it possible to use truePIXA for inline colour measurements and for quality and process control applications in general.
