......is CEO of Chromasens GmbH.

The physics graduate is a laureate of the prestigious Heraeus Foundation. He won the award for his research into thin layers with the help of surface plasmons. For 10 years he held leading positions in the ‘Scanning and Image Processing’ fields, first at CGK Computer Gesellschaft Konstanz mbH and then, after the takeover, at Océ Document Technologies GmbH. In 2004, together with Martin Hund, he took over management of the newly founded Chromasens GmbH as part of a management buyout. Markus Schnitzlein has been head of the ‘Spectral Modulation Light Source’ research project in cooperation with the Chemnitz University of Technology since 2004.

The engineer studied electro-technology/telecommunications technology at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. During his time at CGK Computer Gesellschaft Konstanz mbH he developed image processing boards and image processing algorithms for color scanners. At Océ Document Technologies GmbH he was a project manager for camera systems and image processing solutions and the ‘Scanning and Image Processing’ deputy department head. In 2004, together with Markus Schnitzlein, he took over the management of the newly founded Chromasens GmbH as part of a management buyout.
